Small Fixes

the world may be broken. But let’s start with a small fix.

We wish to make sustainable living accessible and affordable. Come learn, and appreciate the skills and labours of repair tukangs

What is Small Fixes?

Small Fixes is a bi-annual event where we bring together repair tukangs to offer repair services and teach the public how to repair their items. A repair economy must be able to support its tukangs, while information should be free to access. Therefore at Small Fixes, learning to repair is free and repair services are paid.

What problem does this solve?

Repair is a key way that we can reduce resource extraction. Socially, it makes citizens more independent from large exploitative businesses. Economically, it creates opportunities for tukangs when transitioning into degrowth.

Why you do this?

Friends Craft Coop is organised to be the world I wished we lived in. One where our means of production are directed towards people before profit. Creating this world requires physcial infrastructure, logistics, workers, education, and community.

Small Fixes is a small window for us to work with collaborators for the public to apprecaite and develop skills to building a better world together.
